Naming of Roads in Naples, Florida
Oct 09, 2015
Names are an important part of creating character. Naples itself has been defined by being called "Naples" in a lot of our architecture. When you look around the town you can often pick up a bit of history garnered from the names of things. This is very notable when it comes to roads. I think most people that move to any new town/city are curious to see where the road names come from. We see people’s names on buildings, parks, community centers, roads and the like and many times it is the same name. In looking up these names most are found to be the “movers and shakers” and have a lot to do in the settling and growth of a town. Some of the major roads in Naples, Florida, are listed below:
Old Naples, Florida, single-family market below $1,500,000
Oct 02, 2015
With September just behind us and the promise of perfect weather only weeks away the Naples, Florida, real estate market may have a supply problem come high season. The demand for homes this summer was fierce in producing high volume of sales, record-breaking sales, and a limited amount of new listings coming on the market. Old Naples is by far one of the most neighborhoods in demand for many reasons. There are many public access points within walking distance to the beautiful beaches along the Gulf of Mexico or it’s just a short drive. Fifth Avenue South, also known as “downtown”, continues to reinvent itself with the latest in boutique shopping and cuisine suited for the extreme “foodie”. Public tennis courts, a park that has band concerts and fairs throughout the year, art galleries and performing arts centers amongst other businesses make it a destination point for visitors from all over the world and locals alike.
Life on 5th Avenue South, Naples, Florida is Like No Place Else
Sep 18, 2015
Ever since 5th Avenue South in downtown Naples went through a major renovation in the early 2000s buyers have been given the opportunity to live above the beautiful shops and galleries. There are several options currently on the market directly along 5th Avenue South ranging from single-family to studio apartments. The prices range from the low $600,000 for a 2 bedroom condominium measuring a little over 1,000 square feet to well over $8,000,000 for a newer single-family home close to the beach. The demand for this type of living has spurned residential redevelopment in and around 3rd Street South as well. Several new villas have been introduced to the market recently with asking prices in the mid $2,000,000 range. These types of properties are increasing in popularity as the median age of the Neapolitan decreases and those wanting to live here do not want to take on all the responsibilities of single-family home living. Many downtown areas throughout the United States boast upscale shops, award-winning restaurants, exciting art galleries and fun nighttime entertainment, but very few are only steps away from the pristine, white sugar-sand beaches along the Gulf of Mexico. You can spend the day relaxing on the beach and walk downstairs to your favorite restaurant at night. If you are a boater, the nearby city docks and marinas offer places to dock your boat and a wide range of boating, fishing and sightseeing excursions. Downtown Naples, Florida, is by far one of the best places to live.
